Description
Cosmological Tensions
The fiducial cosmological model fits most data extremely well but depends on physics not observed in the lab. Further, several recent data sets seem to indicate that the model fails, leading some to suggest that it must be augmented by yet another piece of new physics. I discuss these tensions and ask how they can be resolved. More generally, how do we move from one model, or set of beliefs, to another?
