Description
Make Your Own Webpage Tutorial (or upgrade your existing one!)
In this 30 minute talk you will learn what makes a good webpage for an astronomer and why you should definitely have one. I will cover the key aspects a webpage should have, the various possibilities you have, and how to optimize your search results. No previous knowledge required and suitable for all ages (from Undergrad to Faculty!). Even better, after the talk there will be a practical session where you can get your own webpage online right then and there. To speed things up, create a GitHub account if you don’t already have one: https://github.com/ and find the template that you like most: https://html5up.net/ You’ll also get a quick overview of how to edit your Astronomy/CNS website profile.
