Extragalactic Research

Our Extragalactic research group focuses on a wide range of topics including the observations of formation and evolution of galaxies, the impact of supermassive black holes on galaxies, and using galaxy observations to probe cosmology. We strive to advance our understanding of galaxies through cutting-edge observations with the Hobby Eberly Telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope, Hubble Space Telescope, and other large ground-based facilities. Our Galaxies research group is particularly interested in exploring galaxies to unravel the mysteries of how the universe changes over cosmic time.
