We have four open source science projects that are aimed at high-resolution near-infrared astronomical spectroscopy. These projects include interpretable machine learning with PyTorch, GPU computing, and human-in-the-loop dashboard visualizations with bokeh.  All the codes are in Python, and involve common libraries such as numpy, Jupyter, and matplotlib.  Students can get involved by running the tutorials and eventually contributing code via GitHub pull requests.
