Abstract

The relationship between stellar X-ray activity and rotation is believed to be a proxy for the underlying magnetic dynamo that powers stellar activity in stars like our Sun. I will describe our work to improve our understanding of this relationship and the physical processes that influence it. In particular I will cover recent results for low-mass, fully-convective stars that explore how the rotation-activity relationship and the magnetic dynamo differs (or not) in these structurally-different stars and the implications this has for our understanding of the Solar dynamo.
