Abstract
You can help McDonald Observatory develop new science exhibits for the Visitor Center gallery and visitor galleries at the Harlan J Smith and Hobby-Eberly Telescopes. Visitors to McDonald Observatory are invited to learn more about the questions we study in astronomy, how research is done, and what we’re learning through our educational exhibits. Future exhibits will help visitor explore questions like: How do we find and study exoplanets? What do we know about where and how planets form? When did the first lights turn on in the Universe? What are the lives of galaxies like? What can we learn from the chemistry & evolution of stars? What is the structure and composition of the universe? This session will include interactive ideation around exhibit concepts and content. There will also be time to discuss other outreach opportunities and resources in Austin and at McDonald Observatory.
